Thunderstorms, Lightening, Oh My!

We do not like thunderstorms and last night there was thunder and lightening. Dozer gets very sketchy about the whole thing. Dottie is blind and deaf so nothing really bothers her and I try and just work with the whole scenario. Mum decided we would play in the living room and take pictures to get our minds off the rain falling outside. Dottie is a good poser and we all know Dozer loves the camera. I put up with a picture or two but enough was enough. It kept Mum busy and when we were done we sat on the couch and watched the rain and lightening. ~ Cooper

I spent how much on dog toys?

Video length: 60 seconds
Cost of toys to date: Thousands and thousands.

Having spent a fortune on dog toys, I come to find out that Dozer thinks a plastic flower pot is the best toy he has ever had. (Dozer's coat is wet because he came in from playing in his pool out on the deck.)

A Frappin' Good Time - Dozer's Mum

Having been on cage rest "forever" (according to Dozer), there are times that Dozer has to burn off some energy. Since playing "fetch" is not in the cards and "tug of war" is frowned on, we usually play "disembowel Mr. Lambchop". Last night Dozer decided it was time to do the twirly dance with his rubber ball from Animal Crackers Pet Shop. Cooper and Dottie usually watch with total disbelief and some sense of wonder. If Dozer really gets moving he can make himself so dizzy he will fall down. This video is but a small snippet of his twirling dervish dance of death. I am happy to report that his ball suffered no real damage and Dozer slept like a log.

No animals were hurt in the production of this video.
One red rubber ball did suffer some dizziness and general wooziness.

Die Little Sheep, Die!

For reasons we are not quite sure of, Dozer decided during the OSU Beaver and Arizona football game to begin the de-stuffing of his treasured Lamb toy..yesh, the one they said was nearly indestructable. It lasted a long time before its fluff started disappearing. And Dozer is supposed to be having "cage rest" because of his knee surgery - I bet he'll pay big bucks for Dr. B not to see this video! BOL!

I love being in charge of the blog, I finally get to be top dog! Love, Cooper

Scored a New Stuffie!

Mum went shopping for a birthday present for the UPS lady at work who really doesn't like to celebrate her birthday. So Mum bought some dog toys for Jody's dog, Anvil, a Jack Russell Terrier. And there in the 50% off bin was this honkin' great duck/partridge. It is the best! I ripped one wing free and then Cooper licked it all over and Dottie just looked.

We haven't had a new stuffie in ages so I didn't even let Mum take the tag off its chest where it says "Press Here to Hear it Squeak!". Haven't figured out why Cooper licks all the toys but he seems to like it.

"Pig in a Blanket"

I patiently keep an "eye" my adversary, keeping my paws on the blanket

I hide quickly so as to confuse the enemy!
I peek to keep an eye on my adversary!
Suddenly the battle is on! I twist and turn, grabbing and biting!
But the tide turns against me and suddenly
everything goes dark and I have lost the battle.
Is it dark in here or is it just me?

Snowing!

We love snow and it doesn't often come to visit us. This morning after Mum took her early morning walk it began to snow. She went to work to get the work she needs to do today so she can stay home with us. Unfortunately the snow has stopped and now it is just mush, but while it came down, we were stoked!

Cooper likes to eat the snow off the deck but I like to check it out in the yard. It made it hard to find my Kong Wubee but eventually I found it and Mum threw it.

Then it was time for naps by the fire!
