Need Help for a Friend
Our good friend, Otter, has lost his teddy bear and is requesting assistance in finding said bear. Teddy is small and brown, which covers a lot of territory. We told Otter that since a lot of us are dogs, we would be able to help. Could you please go outside into your yard/field/patio/deck and see if Teddy is there? Otter is terribly upset and is hoping someone can find Teddy quickly. You can contact Otter at http://www.iamotter.co.uk/story/ - he is English so he has a bit of an accent. (Please don't point that out because he may be sensitive about it).
Thanks, your pal, Dozer

It's Pee-licious
For our delicate readers, you may wish to skip this blog entry and shield your eyes from such revealing and somewhat potty-oriented narrative. But to you brave ones, let's go!
We are sure you will agree, being able to pee has a special place on all our fun-o-meters.Cooper is always a willing participant.
Dozer always has to have the last word. (You understand what we mean about "word" right?)
Just a word of advice from Miss Dottie to you.
Thank you to all our bloggy friends who crossed their paws, prayed (we really thank you for that), and sent us notes to let us know you were rooting for Dottie. We are incredibly touched and awed by your generosity of spirit.
Love, Dozer
PS: Mum wrote the last part because I could honestly care less because this blog is supposed to be about ME!

Anesthesia is a long trip home
Dozer here:
Mum has brought Dottie home and she is sort of with us. Mum says Dottie is going to be sleepy for a while and needs to rest because she still is getting past the anesthesia. Dots has been crying a bit but then she puts her head down and sleeps a little. She will be better tomorrow. Until then she has to stay in her room so she doesn't fall down or hurt herself.
Our vet (Ark Animal Hospital) today was Dr. Lewis-Simpson (left) . We like her bunches, she is very nice and gentle. Dr. Lewis-Simpson has a DVM from Oregon State University and Washington State University, and she has a special interest in surgery. (Good thing with my knees).
And our vet tech was Jasmine (left) who is Cooper's girlfriend, except we aren't supposed to tell anyone that because he says it is a secret. (He made me put the hearts next to Jasmine's picture).
"She loves talking with people and prides herself on providing great customer service. Her dog Bronx was adopted from Heartland Humane Society and is a professional beggar by nature. She also has four cats: Ziggy, Brooklyn, Meko, and Kaya." (from the Ark website)

These are the culprits in our tale of woe. (See below) The big boulder was a centimeter in diameter and brought along a bunch of little friends when he left Dottie.
Dottie is going on special food starting tomorrow and she has to take antibiotics twice a day to get better.
Shhh, Dottie is asleep. We'll write more later. Night and thank you for your thoughts and prayers (they worked!), Love from your favortie naughty corgi, Dozer

Update on Dottie Dog
Mum says "thank you" to everyone's good thoughts and prayers for Dottie. The vet put her under sedation and managed to remove a large bladder stone without surgery. So Dottie gets to come home! She still has some stones but she is going back on her special food again and we will hope we will get another good year like last time.
Dots is currently sleeping off her anesthesia.
Mum will go get the merry Dot'ster later this afternoon. And then Dottie will probably be ordering room service and making us go get her things. She is such a diva at times.

Dottie Dog
We are all waiting for the clock to roll around to 8am so Mum can take Dottie into the vet. Dottie is not well and is in pain and Mum says she has to go in right away. Right now Dots is in the yard pacing, it is where she wants to be. Mum's pretty sure her bladder stones have made it impossible for Dottie to pee and that is why she is in pain and pacing. We are trying to make the clock twirl around faster for Dots.
Keep your paws crossed please.

Once I was just like this...
Of course this is not me. My pal Sammy found this picture and led me to it. But once, and I am pretty sure about this, I was just this cute and cuddly. Mum says it looks a lot like me. But she doesn't have any baby pictures of me because she adopted me when I was 10 months old. (big sigh) Mum says this pup has the same markings and she is sure I was just as cute and adorable because I still am. I think she is a bit biased but of course she is right.
Kind of makes you want to give me a cookie, doesn't it?

Our big, new, blue, bed
Aunt Laura makes lots of neat stuff at her shop
Most of her items are for smaller dogs, but as you
can see, she can size things up for your mid-size model dog too.
Thank you Aunt Laura, we love our new bed.

The Queen is In
Emily from Dreameyce Studios took pictures of Dottie at the show on Saturday and Mum thought she would share one or two. Dottie wasn't very well yesterday, she was falling down and had tremors. (I think she was faking but Mum is appalled I would even suggest such a thing - all I'm saying is Dottie was just fine Sunday but once the attentioned moved off of her...)
Check out that prance!
Dottie on the podium thing. That's Dana behind her.
Mum says Dottie is back to her old self this morning and we don't need to worry about her so much. She is barking and sleeping and roaching all over the house. Whatever...

Dottie Wins at the AKC Show!
Mum says I have to preface this blog entry by stating that while Dottie did win first place in the Veteran's Class at the Chintimini AKC Dog Show yesterday, she was the only entry which made it tad less competitive than it might have been. That said, let's move onto the pictures and our story!
Mum and Dad had to get up very early to get Dottie to the AKC Dog Show by 7am. They found Dana Wellock -Dottie's original owner/breeder and then Dottie had to wait to get her final grooming before the classes began.
Mum took Dottie's wagon so Dots got to rest while waiting. After a bit, Dottie got bored and took a nap.
When it was time for the Veterans Class and Dottie had the ring to herself! Everyone applauded when Dottie went around the ring because she was 14 years old and this was her last show. Once she got going, Dottie pranced like she was half her age!
The judge, Stephanie Seabrook Hedgepath, came over to see how beautiful Dottie was and recognized her because Dottie is a descendent of a dog the judge brought over from England.
When Dottie got her pink ribbon the judge cried (and everyone clapped a bunch more).
Then Mum had to go into the ring with Dottie because Dana was showing her dog Striker and Dottie had won her class, so she got to be in the ring again. Mum had no idea what she was doing but everyone was very nice and people clapped for Dottie again!
Here is a ten second video of Dottie in the ring with Mum (try not to be blinded by Mum's giganormous butt)
This is Dottie getting ready for her professional photograph with her judge (Stephanie Seabrook Hedgepath) and Dana! Mum is on the far right. (Everyone let Dottie have her picture taken first because she was very tired and the oldest dog there - Mum thought that was very nice and says "thank you" to all those nice people).
This is a picture of Dottie and Dana in 1997 at the Chintimini AKC Dog Show. Dottie was about 1 year old and she won Best of Breed. Some things never change!
Mum, Dad, and Dottie came home and they all promptly took naps. Apparently these dog shows take a lot out of you.
Don't worry about Cooper and me just because we were ignored for an entire day. Just a reminder, this blog is about me, not Dottie.
Dozer Edwards, Esq.
(Editors Note: Most of the photos were taken by Bob Edwards, as was the video. Hence the higher quality than you may be used to! LOL!)
