I am Home but I am not Happy - Dozer

So's Mum picked me up yesterday and spent a bunch of time with my doctor, Jennifer. I have to do those stupid exercises again. And I have to wear this stupid donut around my neck too.

I am not supposed to put any weight on my leg for 8 weeks while it heals because I could break the bone. And I have to be in my cage.

When I am allowed out I have to have a sling around my mid-section so Mum can hold my leg off the ground.

Every 3-4 hours Mum is going to run home from work and put frozen peas (in the bag) on my knee to reduce the swelling and do some of those stupid exercises.

This sucks. And I am not happy. Hence the reason I tried to bite Mum's hand this morning when she started those stupid exercises.

Someone send me a file so I can saw my way through these bars and escape.

Good grief... how is that even possible?? To go 8 weeks without putting weight on a leg? I don't know what to say except I hope the time goes REALLY fast for you!

Oh Doze, I am so sad to see you looking so pitiful.
Try to remember that 8 weeks is nothin' in the long run, and you'll be so much healthier when it's all over. Hugs to your mom.

Maybe Mango can give you some of his Happy Dust Pills so you can pass the next 8 weeks in a drug-induced stupor. (Not that I'm encouraging recreational drug use; when Dad gets hurt and has/needs surgery, he gets this pills that leave him a sleeping lump on the bed until he's better - and he doesn't care that he's hurt...) But if drugs aren't your thing, I'll talk to Mom about baking a cake with a file in it for you. But take care of yourself - and go easy on your poor Mom - she's just trying to help in her weird biped sort of way!

Hey Dozer,

Dude you situation blows. I don't know what your humans are thinking. My human has a chain saw and they probably won't notice if it goes missing. You'll be out of there in no time.

Dozer, I know you don't like being in prison but I would trust your Mom on this. You know she loves you and would never do anything that wasn't for your own good (did I say that?). I am curious tho, how do you tinkle without putting weight on your leg and having a sling around your belly?

Oh bother! I was once in doggie jail with a shaved back leg and blue donut on my neck. It was terrible! At first my leg was a little sore but after a few days it was totally fine but momma would not listen and kept me in there forever!
Momma says she looked back through you blog to see what they did to fix you knee but did not see it. Did
you get the same proceedure as on the left knee? I had TPLO but know they have other ways for smaller doggies. Anyway, get better soon!
P.S. Did you see the brain game momma made me? She wishes she thought of that while I was in doggie jail.

8 WEEKS!!! OH, MY GOODNESS... THAT is FOREVER!!! I, too, am curious about Twix question since you are a boy dog. Goodness, but your Mom really loves you to shell out the green stuff and then take all the extra time to give you the extra care along with the time she spends taking care of Dottie, too. I know my Mom loves me from all the time she's spent washing out my eye and holding ice packs on it, and putting in salve ands stuff. She grumbles a lot about the time, but I love the extra attention being focused BACK on my where it should be instead of on those pups! OC
