Mum said perhaps some personal reflection might be order since Cooper has never entered the contest and I enter any contest where my picture will be on the Internet. And the problem with this would be?
If I win it will be through no assistance of my Mum that's for sure!

I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't win the contest. In fact, the only reason you haven't won previously is because humans are stupid. We both know that!
