Rolling Towards the Harvest

It's haying season in Oregon which makes Mum happy. She loves the round hay bales. The rectangular ones are nice as well but Mum seems to think the round ones are the stuff of fairy tales. She swears that in the Land of Oz, they only have round hay bales. (She also thinks horses talk so weigh her opinions with care).

Mum and I went to Animal Crackers so I could get the proper fit of my new walking harness and on the way home Mum stopped by the side of the road to take pictures of these strange anomalies of nature. I am sure the people who had to go around us thought Mum was sliding off the scale of sanity.

I share this so you can understand the stress I live under. Many find it amazing that I am as wonderful as I am having to cover for my Mum and making her seem normal and ordinary. So shouldn't I get my picture back as the "profile picture" on the blog? I should, shouldn't I?

Of course you should get your picture back on the blog.

That hay looks kind of like the therapy balls that PeeWee saw. Are you going to jump up on them?

Sometimes Mums are quite weird in the things they like, I'm finding.
Oh and it's so nice to be able to communicate with other dogs who understand how stressful life can be. I mean, those who are less perceptive might look at us and think, ah yes, that must be carefree existence, being fed (normal food and treats), taken for walks, having your tummy tickled, being played with etc. etc. but we know it's not so easy!
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
PS BTW, to make one thing clear, Gail does NOT use whitener on my photos! Having long legs in proportion to one's body does reduce the potential for mud on the belly, I find!

We have lots of hay bales too...aren't they the coolest?

We think you should have your picture back on the icon. **jane whispers**...that photo of Cooper makes his nose look big.

Pee Ess...if you see those hay bales wrapped with white plastic, they are NOT giant marshmallows!

I also think the round ones are the best. They are so much nicer to look at.

Don't forget, we've moved to http://dogisgodinreverse.com

Haybales are kinda cool and spooky--my mom says American Gothic whatever that is or was. I think you should be the profile pic again.

Don't worry, Dozer. Grammy thinks that horses talk, too. She says they talk just as much as corgis, and you just have to learn their language. I'm glad my Mama Mist, and Daddy Bud taught her corgi language so I didn't have to do that when I came along.

Grammy wants a bunch of those hay bales, but wonders how you feed from them as she is only used to the rectangular ones that you can break "flakes" off of to feed.

She also thinks that your Mum did a great job of taking these pics!

Hay is just so 'Willamette Valley'... Grass seed country! heehee Thank heavens for allergy meds, or I'd be dead by now!
