Bored? Oh surely you jest (I am sure you are catching my canine sarcasm). I may be dead by the weekend from sheer boredom. I cannot daydream any more and I know every inch of my cage.
Mum took someone's suggestion to make a game using a muffin pan and 12 tennis balls. She hid treats under some tennis balls and challenged me to find the treats. Oh really...Mum, I'm a corgi! I could play tennis if I wanted to.
This was the start of the game. Note the action shot - I tore through this challenge.
I sniffed out the treats.
Then I started removing said treats. Sorry Coop, this is my game!
I said 'move it' Coop, this is my game! I mean it.

Dang dammit! Leave my pink tennis ball alone!
Well that was 3 minutes of entertainment. Just 23 hours and 57 minutes more to go...

Yay! You are good at it like me! Momma decided it was too easy for me and cut the bottom of the tennis balls so they fit in the cups better and it is harder to tell (a little) where the treats are and harder to get them out! Maybe adds a minute to the game but being the lumbering old man that I am I get worn out pretty easy! Glad you tried it and posted about it! Momma kept me busy with a tug a jug too and I still eat my dinner out of it. It takes me about 15min to get a cup of kibble out then I am pretty tuckered out!
aww Dozer! I am so sad at your boredom!
Just remember, this is all for your health! You'll totally be able to kick Cooper's hiney when you get better!!!
Your mom is certainly very inventive. We are sorry you are still bored - hopefully you will be released early for good behaviour!
love and kisses

Ugh. Mental stimulations. That is no fun. Especially with dumb Coop trying to butt in. Sorry I can't help you little short legged one. You are just going to have to be patient.

Oh that's a cool game!!! I should try that with Sadie. Although I'd have to go out and buy some tennis balls! Hahaha. (We only have a few.)
Dozer and Coop - come on to my blog to claim your award! This will give you both something FUN to do!!! HUGS!!!
Maybe you just need something good to chew on, like a new nylabone, flavored. That will help your stress level too.
Funny how Coop wanted in on your game. Those treats must have had good smells.
Clever game that your mom came up with!
I don't think I would like that game. Can you pop in a movie and make some popcorn and snuggle for a few hours?
licks and sniffs,Sasha
I am with Sasha...except lots of cookies instead of popcorn...
Smileys!

That is a pretty neat idea. Sorry you are so board! Can't you have your mom put a dvd player in your cage or something?

Goodness, everyone's mentioning treats when you're on a diet! It makes ME hungry just reading your friends comments! Poor us... :(
Those are really neat sounding games and Mom plans to run over to Moose's blog and find out what that bottle tugging thing is and how it works. Might keep the pups busy so they will quit tearing up things... OC
