News from the Front

I continue to recuperate in the Medical Tent at our Fort. The drugs to fight my squirrel cootie infection have upset my tummy and I am forced to put my most pathetic look upon my face to get the help I need. To date it seems to be working.
Sleeping has been difficult but I have found with company I can power nap. I am trying to build up my body to face the hordes of marauding squirrels. Thank you all for my purple bone medal, I shall wear it with honor.
Cooper is maintaining surveillance and Dottie was discovered consorting with the enemy (she was under the shed playing cards with them). We are hoping she is acting as our secret agent however she is easily swayed with promised of treats.

Dozer - you're a true patriot! Still recovering from your battle wounds, you are anxious to get back to the fight. I applaud your dedication, but you must get your strength back before facing the enemy again. I don't want you to strain yourself in any way, but if you could get a message to Dottie for me I would appreciate it. Tell her she better get her little Corgi butt in gear and start rounding up those squirrels... playing cards with them is NOT allowed!

Oh no! Not squirrel cooties! I see that you have found a very competent nurse and I hope that you will be recovered soon. I, quite bravely, just ignore the squirrels and let the sheppys wear themelves out chasing them as they run along the phone lines behind our house. Seriously sheppys, they never fall and you just look like fools. Back and forth. Back and forth.

ps. My ma ape got all leaky about how much you look like her first corgi, Conan. *rollseyes*

pps. The thing on my front is a pine needle. I hang it from my fur to keep that pine fresh scent, being a native Pacific Northwesterner and all.

I'm glad to see that you've got good care for the squirrel cooties! And a good place to power nap. Upset stummies are no fun - yet one more sacrifice you are making for The Cause.

And I hope that Dottie is acting as an under-cover agent. I'd hate to think that she's gone over to the Dark Side.

Oh Dozer, this is all so upsetting! My momma has been abandoning me lately, and now I come back to see you are engaged in FULL-ON battle?!!?

And that INJURY?! How horrible. I really want to try to help you with those squirells, but Momma reminded me that I am pretty scared of everything and last summer I lost a battle with a June Bug.

Does Dottie need help under the shed????

I KNOW a CORGI would never turn coat!!! You have maligned Dottie! Take it BACK!!! Of course, she is acting as an undercover agent, or, since you said she was half-blind, she might have mistaken them for a group of those "Hamsterriors" from the MangoMinster Dog Show... OC

Dozer, you are our hero! We are glad that you are getting all the attention that you so rightly deserve even if it means putting on your miserable face!
Thank goodness your human is holding you safe whilst you sleep!
You really do need all the TLC you can get right now.
We are so very proud of you.
