As a young man, Dad always had an affinity for being a "fly boy". His aviator days started when he was a wee lad and even today he dreams of soaring. While he does not actually have a pilot license, he does have a radio controlled airplane that he has successfully flown with our boy.
This here is a picture of Dad and his brother (that's their Mum in the middle). You can see he already had his aviator hat on and he was ready to take off. The saddle shoes just show how trendy he was back in the day.
And this is Dad now
Aviator hat? Yup. Goggles? Yup. White scarf? Yup.
We love Dad for a variety of reasons but the biggest is that he thinks eating the same thing twice a day has to be boring, so he gives us bites of things like pizza, bread, tomatoes, carrots, apple and other items not necessarily on our dietary list of things to consume. (Sadly no wine).
So, hats off to Dad for his dashing good looks and sharing attitude when it comes to consumables!

Oh isn't your Dad wonderful. Love the photos!
Toodle pip!

PS Gail says her Dad really did fly airplanes (mosquitos and beaufighters) in WW2! He is reliably good with the treats too, with a special focus on meaty ones, offal, bones etc. Yum!
Thanks for sharing this one! Dads are the best belly rubbers and so much fun~
What a jaunty dad! Our granddaddy also flew planes in WWII [C-47's]. Our daddy if he had lived flew planes in Viet Nam. We really liked your photo essay on Cooper's naps, although we're not sure how you could tell one nap apart from the next. Glad you made it home in one piece from your Christmas trip. Happy New Year!

Hi, we are Gaucho, Pampita and the Jefa from Madrid.
Yesterday we recived you adorable christmas card.
Tanks you so much!!!
We wishing too, you all the best in this new year....
send dozer, cooper and their family all our love...
I'm no aviator, but I got a hat like that for Christmas! Fur-lined, rather than shearling, though, so it's super-warm -- just the thing for a Rochester winter. Makes walking the Husky less of an ordeal, I'll tell you...

Your Dad looks like a fun guy... Those eyes just scream FUN! Our Papa has always wanted to fly, too. He was in the Air Force (only as a Security Officer) and he has taken some flying lessons many years back (according to Grammy).
We are lucky because Grammy feels the same as your Dad about boring kibbles, so we get veggies and fruit too! The CCC
