Mum has a Kindle. She loves it. She downloaded tons of free books from the Kindle Store at Amazon.com. She got books she has always meant to read and hasn't. That said, she is not reading out loud to us and 99% of the books have no pictures. Where is the fun in that?
So Cooper got on the computer (he is better at surfing the web than I am) and logged into Amazon.com under Mum's name and password. He got into Mum's Kindle account and read about how you can have your blog published to Kindle and people can get a subscription and have it delivered to their Kindle each day or whenever the blog is updated. How cool is that?
This is a preview of what our blog might look on a Kindle.
I asked Cooper how much money we will make. He said not enough for an airplane ticket to visit Howie in Texas. Coop says subscriptions are only 99 cents a month. Hmmm, we aren't going to get far on 99 cents.
Right now Amazon.com is reviewing our blog to make sure it is acceptable for Kindle subscriptions. We should know in 48-72 hours. I am nervous. Cooper is chewing his nails and his tail. What if we are turned down? My self-image cannot take much more abuse. The garage sale is still visiting me in my nightmares.
Cross paws we are accepted. We gotta get money to go visit Howie or at least send him a present. I think I am having a breakdown. This is like waiting to hear who won an Oscar. (Dozer begins to hyperventilate and places a brown bag over his snout.)
As we leave we see Dozer sitting in the hallway, head in a brown bag, breathing loudly while asking Cooper to keep checking their email account every five minutes to see if Amazon.com has written them. Their mother, Nancy, takes her glass of red wine and goes into a closet and closes the door so the dogs cannot badger her into checking her email account in case Amazon.com emailed her instead of them. It will be a long night...)
