Our Bountiful Garden - Free Eats for All!

As many of you know, we are rarely fed enough to maintain life. Being a corgi, I have a high metabolism and require regular food in order to keep my blood sugar at an acceptable level. (Cooper is shaking his head, he says no one is going to believe my blood sugar requires constant food and that telling lies will only lead to more problems. Who cares if it gets me more eats.)

'
These are the small tomatoes off the hanging tomato bushes. The little orange ones are nom nom good and the pear shaped yellow ones are kind of sweet.
These are some old variety, regular size tomatoes.
This here is Cooper eating a tomato. He can only eat on one side of his mouth so he takes a little longer to get his lunch down. And for those who notice details, yes, Coop did go to the groomer yesterday. He smells like a cheap trollop aftershave.
I always like to take a long look at my raw food and discern how best to consume my foodables.
I decided the full frontal attack was best suited to this tomato. It was delicious. But I am still hungry.

Our friend, Ocmist, left a nice note on our Amazon page:

Dog blogs are really becoming popular, and this sounds like a really great blog... especially since I'm really partial to corgis!

Thanks Ocmist! We're still a little shakey about what to write down now that people can download us. Cooper wants to have a blog entry with his haiku poetry and I would like to have a shooping list of things I need and want (food, toys, etc). We'll get this figured out this week.

Please keep our pal Tank  in your thoughts. He is going to have knee surgery this week (just like I had on both knees) so cross paws for our pal Tank!

Finn and Lola send smoochies and also want Dozer and Coop to know that they, too, are starving and are only alive right now because after an inadequate dinner at 4, they were blessedly allowed to lick the pizza crumbs off a plate a few minutes ago....

What great treats!

Guess what? My mom person & I have created a new blog at www.PetBlogsUnited.com.

We'd love it if you would come over and check it out & become a member. It's a great new place for pet bloggers to find each other, and get an opportunity to be a featured blog!

Nubbin wiggles,
Oskar

Funny you know, my human Gail is quite obsessed with keeping her own blood sugar level sufficiently elevated, and indeed it is true that she becomes quite the grumpy old so-and-so if it drops below a critical threshold. Why then does she not understand that the same applies to dogs?!
Those are very interesting shaped tomatoes. We have never seen such a thing over here. Is it something special you add to the soil??
Toodle pip!

Eewww, you guys are eating tomatoes? Dogs really will eat anything won't they? We just whap tomatoes around here, they roll really well and if you whap them off the counter they make a cool squishy thunk when they hit the floor.

Dozer, you are doing all of us corgis a BIG service in getting out the information that Corgis NEED more food MORE OFTEN than other dogs. I try to convince Grammy of this fact all the time, but she is so hard hearted! She INSISTS that being of a proper weight for a corgi (ROUND) would NOT be good for my back and hips! She decided to grow her tomatoes outside the yard this year and the squirrels and rabbits feasted, while we went nuts watching through the window. By the time she got a CLUE, the plants were to big for her to move! :( At least she DOES get us carrots to snack on.

Prayers going up for Tank. OC
