I'm somewhat mollified that it doesn't hurt much, but how do hoomans know that, other than to maybe observe no limping? I'll be thinking of you lots and keeping paws crossed. And thanks for telling us the story, Dozer. You will be thought of lots too!!!
Big Huggers and Love xo
SammieGolden Samanthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01810994485527475133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2053401549506269988.post-17162291616317681022010-03-11T08:40:13.701-08:002010-03-11T08:40:13.701-08:00Oh Coop Im so sorry. I only ask because between the two of them, Mom and Dad have blown out 3 knees in doing so. That said, Mom survived for 10 years without a new ACL, and skied and played tennis (sort of a human version of fetch) and all sorts of stuff before she had surgery. So hopefully you can stay pain-free. Although maybe you might want to give up the ski racing; at some point it's best to know when to call it quits! ;-)

And Dozer, we'll give you all the kisses you want - especially since I think you need a bigger pirate hat and more accessories, like a parrot or something!

*kissey face*
-FionaLucy-Fur, as typed by Dr. Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00623314618386797524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2053401549506269988.post-65312884989944583722010-03-11T07:42:47.238-08:002010-03-11T07:42:47.238-08:00Old geezer you say?Old geezer you say?Bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06298152913714967246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2053401549506269988.post-75157339877089760072010-03-11T07:37:45.130-08:002010-03-11T07:37:45.130-08:00Gosh, Dozer, I didn't even know you had knees....Gosh, Dozer, I didn't even know you had knees.

Sorry to hear about Coop. Listen to Moose Mom. I think that your dad needs to take a lesson in statistics. Just sayin.

I am glad that Coop will not have the surgery because that is kind of dangerous for a more senior dog such as himself. If he can stay pain free without it, then go for it.

Slobbers,
MangoDexterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09238751458587219022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2053401549506269988.post-10396300313377000292010-03-11T07:14:21.123-08:002010-03-11T07:14:21.123-08:00Oh no! I know our little club might look fun from the outside so maybe that is why he did it? Poor Coop! It does seem odd statistically speaking that 3 out of the 6 knees in your house would go... I read that a grain-free diet can benefit doggie joints (tendons included) so we switched to grain-free but I am not sure what that is based on and we switched for lots of reasons not just that. I personally could see it being just one of those things. I sure hope the shots work because although he has lots of years left I know that surgery is difficult for the more 'distinguished' pups! Take care!Moosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04855501163292890825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2053401549506269988.post-29480895463241887132010-03-11T06:32:28.539-08:002010-03-11T06:32:28.539-08:00Oh Cooper!

I hope these shots help and that we can avoid surgery.
For now, you need to stay off that leggie. Make Dozer wait on you hand and paw, okay??
Tell your momma we are sending her BIG hugs.
