So We've Been Sprung

So we got home from Inavale Farm and we had a fabulous time. I played ball until I thought my paws would fall off, Cooper spent a lot of time with the ladies in the front office having "lap time" and Dottie, from all reports, wandered around and even went out in the play room. Still, when Mum finally showed up with our release papers, we went a little wild...okay, a lot of wild. Coop and I hung our heads out the windows in the car all the way home.

First things first, got to leave messages in the backyard.

Dottie is so competitive..crap! (literally)

Here I am ladies, come on over for a big kiss!

Oh yeah, Coop says to come over for another big wet one.
(If his tongue gets any bigger he can use it to wash windows!)

Dottie went really wild when she got through the door
into the living room- check out her roaching technique!

Go baby go! Check out the jaw action and her teetheses!

More later, we have to go unpack right now :)

We're Home!

As you can see, Mum has been with other dogs in Alaska! (That is Patsy Ann, a dog who greeted ships for 15 years during the 1930's and has a statue on the docks in Juneau). Mum has pictures of us that she will get on tonight - we had a GREAT time at camp but we missed all of YOU!

Canine Flu - From the BeeKeeper

Morning fellow bloggers, Dozer here. I just wanted to "bee" the one to alert you to Canine Flu and have you go read this article so you can be ready and prepared. Click here. Mum heard about it on NPR - that woman is addicted to NPR but that is another story. This here is Dottie sending you a big "aroooo!"

Mum and Dad are leaving in a few days for Alaska - without us! We are going to our favorite place in the world, Inavale Farm, you remember the horse farm with the two-story deluxe doggie hotel. But I love the pond best, I love to go play in there and then of course there are the hikes, the indoor play arena, etc. Mum will update our blog while they are on the ship doing the Inland Passage but I wanted to let you know we are not going to 'lock-up' or anything, we're going to be partying for a week. We love you all!

Sleepy Sunday - Notes from Cooper Edwards

I went to Portland with Mum to see my friend, Delight. This is me sleeping in the car on the way up after I had part of a hamburger from Mickey D's

This is me sleeping on Delight's couch.

I am an equal opportunity napper.

Have a Smile (and pass it on!)

This is a great little movie of smiling dogs and kitties! How did I miss getting in on this? I smile every day!

Be sure and visit the website, http://www.imtiredonline.com/ and get your bracelet to end animal cruelty (and bunches of other stuff). Love, Dozer

Dottie Update - Cooper

Blind, deaf and slightly confused and yet Dottie continues to have an incredible sense of radar when it comes to the kibble canister. While Mum took a shower, Dottie took down the kibble container and Dozer joined her for a quick nosh. Unfortunately I was deeply engrossed in my post-breakfast nap and missed the foray.

Dottie is having some problems with her hind legs when she gets up in the morning and Mum is helping her up and down the stairs to the backyard because Dots kind of fell at lunchtime. So no more jumping up and down without supervision says Mum! I could supervise, if I can do it from my chair in the living room.

"EVERBUDDY BE QUIET!!! COOPER IS TRYING TO SLEEP!!! There. I quieted em down for you Coop, go back to sleep."

Jane understands the need for quiet on Sleepy Sundays...she rocks ~ Cooper

Sleepy Sunday - Please keep your voice down

Could you please keep it down over there? I am trying to nap.
Did someone say something about treats? What? Oh you didn't? Okay, I go back to sand land then.

Don't worry about me...no really, I'm fine.

Don't worry about me, I will just wait here, in the window for your return. No really, you go off and enjoy yourself, I'll be fine. Lonely, neglected, hungry and pathetic, but I will be fine by myself. *Thanks to Mango and Wally for their assistance in my new manipulative behavior ventures. Your guys rock.

** Howie PeePants if you don't get out of the cage soon, I will have to start calling you long distance to stay in touch. If I can look this pathetic and get out of the house, you should be able to do the same and get out of the cage.

Artistic Essay in De-Stuffing

Mum finally got me a loofah dog like all my pup pals have. Cooper wanted to just lick it but I think we all know that this was a loofah whose time was up! I started small - just removed the right ear and then it was time to destuff and find that squeaker! Note the paw action as I hold this sucker down while I remove his ear.
I got the squeaker out but then Cooper stole it! He never plays by the rules!
Actually quite amazing how much stuffing one loofah dog can hold.
Hard to get a purchase on this green monster but I had its fabric entrails out in no time!
I like to call this a piece of work in progress. Please note the happy smile on Mr. Loofah Dog in the last picture. (He may be smiling now but he will be crying later!)

Your Guess is as Good as Ours

This is me trying to get Mum to catch up on our blog. We have no idea why she has been so lazy lately! She mentioned something about work, life and having that thing removed from her side that required 18 stitches. Really Mum! Get some priorities! (We'll guilt her into catching up tonight!) Love, Cooper
